How to spot it
The ISS looks like a very bright, steady star moving smoothly across the sky. It doesn't flash and takes a few minutes to cross. Look towards the direction it appears from. Passes higher than 40° are the brightest. It often fades out before setting as it enters Earth's shadow.
About these times
Calculated in your browser from the latest orbital elements (CelesTrak) for central Arran. A pass is listed when the sky is dark, the station is sunlit and it climbs above 10°. The ISS boosts its orbit now and then, so check again on the day. Check the cloud forecast too.
